ISTANBUL,— The lawyers of the imprisoned Kurdish leader and the head of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) Abdullah Öcalan, who were tried in Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) case, which is alleged to be an umbrella political organization that includes the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), were released by the Istanbul 1st Heavy Penalty Court, Dicle haber DIHA reported.

The lawyers of Öcalan were released by caring the time they had been remained in jail. The Istanbul 1st Heavy Penalty Court released all the lawyers of Öcalan who had been arrested in November 2011.

9 lawyers and a journalist accused of membership in Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) were released Tuesday, the names as reported by DIHA: Doğan Erbaş, İbrahim Bilmez, Cengiz Çiçek, Mehmet Bayraktar, Ömer Güneş,www.Ekurd.net Sebahattin Kaya, Emran Emekçi, Cemal Demir, Hatice Korkut and Journalist Cengiz Kapmaz.

On on March 17, the 2nd heavy penal court in the southeastern Kurdish city of Diyarbakir refused to release 92 Kurdish politicians in the main case against the KCK. Turkish authorities accuse the KCK of wanting to promote insurrection in Turkey's Kurdish region.
 

The KCK-trial began on October 18, 2010 when a Turkish court began the trial of 152 high profile Kurdish politicians and rights defenders, accused of being the urban wing of the outlawed separatist Kurdish PKK rebels.

Over 7748 people were taken into custody and over 3895 persons were arrested in the scope of KCK operations include dozens of pro-Kurdish BDP party executives.

On January 3, 2014, A Turkish court released two Kurdish lawmakers, the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) deputies Ibrahim Ayhan and Gulser Yildirim have been held on remand since 2010, and being tried in the scope of the so-called KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) case.

On January 4, 2014, A Turkish court ordered the release from jail on Saturday of three Kurdish lawmakers, who are being tried in the scope of the so-called KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) case.
