Kurdistan region 'Iraq', — The city of Erbil has
faced the giant number of restaurants and fast food
centers in the past 10 years, which is known as the
food positive marketing and the law quality and
hospitality of the restaurants at the same time.
According to the latest census estimations, the
population toll is integrally increased close to 1
million people during 6 single years and it has the
great impact to expand the number of restaurants,
tourist movements, hotels and trades in the
province.
The restaurants, fast food centers have seen in the
entire busy and comfortable places, such as Markets,
Hotels, Resorts, Parks, Storages, Hospitals,
Schools, Colleges, Prisons, Sport Centers, and
Airports in Kurdistan region capital of of Erbil.

According
to the basic estimation of the number of
restaurants, the statistic official in Health
office, Polis Denha said “Close to 461 public and 33
tourist restaurants exist which is considered to
massive increasing, if we compared with the previous
years in Erbil.”
Regarding to the conditions for opening new
restaurants and fast food centers, Denha added “we
have set out several terms to open a new restaurant,
for instance the area must not less than 15 m, clean
position, ceramic wall design, setting exchange air
system together with private cloth for workers.”
At the mean time, he does not hide his concern about
the movable fast food restaurants which are lacks
health conditions due to difficulty to control them
but we have punished some of restaurant owners pay
accounting 350,000 Iraqi Diners (ID) as a fine
together with closing their restaurants for 3 days,
so I demand the locals to be more aware about the
foods that they eat in the restaurants.”
Regarding to the restaurant owners reactions, Farhad
Awni said “we are have submitted to our costumers
different kind foods without any obstacles for 20
years.”
“We are so optimistic to expand the restaurants
which have the great impact on the economic aspects,
but we might expect to release health problems
without basic health principles,” the economist
Shalaw Ahmed, said.
Regarding to the restaurant professional qualities,
Ahmed added “the Kurdistan Universities together
with tourist foundations must use its efforts to set
the tie program for managing the tourist positions
and restaurants in the standard way, including
emerging the professional officials to run the
restaurants in the perfect way in Kurdistan Region.”
“We are surprised to the massive increase of the
restaurant numbers in the entire places in the
province, because there were few restaurants in the
couple past decades but we have seen restaurants and
fast food centers in every location in Erbil city,”
67 year-old-man, Sabir Abdullah stated.
We are concern about lack of food marketing in my
restaurant due we were considered as the top
restaurant in four past decades in the provinces by

we have lost our customers right after couple past
decades because of massive enhancing restaurant
numbers in the city, Traditional Restaurant Owner,
Adnan Shaker said.
However, some old people mentioned some names, who
had constructed restaurants in the previous five
decades, the 50-years-old restaurant owner, Faroq
Ali said, “I remember some names such as, Hajji
Sharief Shnoi, Hajji Ahmed, Darwesh Ali and Hajji
Abo, who were considered as the best restaurant
cooker and owner that had built restaurants in the
city at that time.”
Regarding to expending the restaurant numbers, the
Restaurant Owner, Hazem Yassein, “we are considered
that spending leisure times outside at nights by the
locals have the great impact to increase the
restaurant numbers in the city together with
enhancing the number of tourists, especially the
tourists from south and central Iraq to Kurdistan
Region.”
Erbil, at the same time, is considered as the best
city to host guests and foreign people in the entire
Iraq.

51-years-old-woman, Zhian Muhsein said.
The city of Erbil is becoming the core center to
grow up the economic and tourist aspects, including
creating job opportunities and individual incomes,
especially the latest restaurant and fast food
centers in Iskan, Shorsh, and Kirkuk street areas
have considered as the most attractive restaurants
in the city.
