Killing
the Kurds in the Syrian Prisons
Today we received new news from Kurdistan that Mr.
Ahmed Hussein Hussein, from Hasakah, Western
Kurdistan, which is occupied by Syria, has been
killed in the Syrian prisons under torture by the
Syrian military security services.
The body of Mr. Ahmed Hussein Hussein was returned
on Monday night to his family and the authorities
refused to provide a medical report on what caused
his death and put pressure (on the family) so he was
buried quickly under tight security.
Thousands of Kurds were arrested (in total 9000
Kurds) after the Syrian Kurds uprising on 12 March
2004. Hundreds of them have since been killed under
torture by the Syrian military security services.
More than three million Kurds live in Western
Kurdistan which is occupied by Syria.
