DUHOK, Kurdistan region 'Iraq', — Kurdistan
region president Massoud Barzani stressed Sunday
that the Syrian people shall decide it is destiny
and draw it is future, confirming that the
"democratic alternative shall be in the interest of
all social components", according to governmental
electronic site.
Barzani visited on Sunday a Syrian refugees' camp in
Domaiz, 15 km south Duhok, to investigate their
conditions personally.
He held a meeting with Duhok officials and UNHCR
representative there, calling the Syrians to be "at
home".
Barzani promised to arrange their situations before
the coming winter if they did not return home.
He added that "the important thing is the future of
the Syrian Kurds who were denied the Syrian
nationality and rights".
"The democratic alternative will be in the interest
of Syria, as well as the Syrian Kurds who should
have strong guarantees for their future",www.ekurd.net
he confirmed.
Barzani disclosed that Iraqi Kurdistan is
"endeavouring with the international community to
provide the Syrian Kurds with such guarantees",
pointing the importance of "organizing the Kurdish
House".
"Erbil agreement among Syrian Kurds is an important
step to organize efforts for better future to the
Syrian Kurds", he elaborated.
But he warned against all differences and the
necessity to build joint future and positive
relations among all the Syrian social components.
