ERBIL-Hewlêr, Kurdistan region 'Iraq', — The US promises not to stay silent if Baghdad uses forces against the Kurdistan Region, said Kurdistan Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani.

Barzani said in an interview with local independent Kurdish newspaper Hawlati: "The Kurdistan Region has entered the world oil map, thus the region is important. Even some forces were unfriendly in the past, now they are ready to talk to Kurds and have stakes in Kurdish oil and gas."

Iraq and Kurdistan relationship has entered a "danger zone", said the PM, adding that the US asked Iraq's leaders to solve their problems in line with the constitution.

Barzani labeled the US's position as a good guarantee, according to the newspaper.

Barzani said the relationship between the Kurdistan Region's President Massoud Barzani and Iraq's President Jalal Talabani is crucial at this moment,www.ekurd.net stating that the two leaders have same view and are united on Iraq's issues.
