Kurdistan Regional Government President Massoud
Barzani has commenced his foreign tour to hold talks
with a number of world leaders, including the US
president Barrack Obama!
His accompanying delegation consists of: Masroor
Barzani, KDP’s intelligence chief; Qubad Talabani,
KRG representative to the US; Falah Mustafa, the
Head of the Department of Foreign Relations; Ashti
Hawrami, Minister of Natural Resources, Hersh
Muharam and Feud Hussain and few advisors to KRG.
President Barzani and his delegation
arrived in Bulgaria on Thursday where
they held talks with Bulgarian Prime Minister,
President and the Head of Parliament on various
topics. They were extended a warm reception.
President Barzani’s next destination will be
Hungary, and later he is due to set off to the U.S.
The main purpose of this visit is described as
seeking to further expand and intensify Kurdistan
Regional Government (KRG) relations and cooperation
with foreign countries.
President Barzani has uniformly advocated Kurdish
independence right. Most recently, on the occasion
of Kurdish “ Newroz” year, he assured his people
that in a near future he would announce an
independent Kurdistan state.
Concurrently, the annual Arab summit meeting is
being held in the Iraqi capital Baghdad Thursday (
March 29) . It is headed by Kurdish President Jalal
Talabani.
Both Kurdish Presidents hold a peerless opportunity
to broach Kurdish independence case in two very
historic meetings.
Barzani will also meet President Barack Obama,www.ekurd.net
Vice President Joe Biden, a strong advocate of
Kurdish self-government, and numerous senior key US
officials face-to face.
If Kurdish leaders truly imply what they sloganeer,
then this is the most appropriate time to
corroborate it.
Kurdish citizens are impatiently looking forward to
hearing the good news that President Barzani has
vowed!
