Iraqi Kurdistan president Massoud Barzani
in Austria for talks on bilateral relations

VIENNA,
Austria, — The President of Iraqi Kurdistan
Region, Massoud Barzani, has arrived in Austria on
Thursday to carry out talks on bilateral relations,
a Kurdistan Region’s Presidential statement
reported.
“The Austrian President, Heinz Fischer, the Sincere
Friend of the Kurdish People, has received the
President of Kurdistan Region, Massoud Barzani,www.ekurd.netat
the Austrian Presidential Palace on Thursday
evening,” the KRP statement stressed.
It confirmed that “the meeting has covered the
strengthening of relations between Iraq and Austria
in general and Kurdistan and Austria in particular,”

adding that “both sides have exchanged viewpoints on
the regional and international issues, along with
the recent developments in some of the states of the
region.”
The two also discussed measures to further
strengthen relations and increase cooperation
between Austria and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
Noteworthy is that
Barzani's last
visit to Austria was last February,
