ERBIL-Hewlęr,
Kurdistan region 'Iraq', (ekurd.net) — There are
unsubstantiated reports indicating that Uranium has
been discovered in South Kurdistan [northern Iraq],
and exported abroad by a foreign company, most
likely heading to Turkey or Kuwait, and from there
to a known XXX third country.
With the direct involvement of XXX military, a
foreign company named XXX conducted the exploration
and extraction operations from 2008-2009.
The site is situated between Shaqlawa and Bikhal.
Whether Kurdistan Regional Government KRG was
notified or directly involved, remains unknown.
