— A group of twenty Kurdish protesters have stormed
the building of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG)
in Edgware road – London in support for the people's
demonstration in the city Sulaimaniyah and demanding
the withdrawal of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP)
forces from Sulaimaniyah city.
The group occupied the building of KRG and staged a
sand in for about 45 minutes and they have left the
building when anti terror police surrounded the
building and started talking to them demanding
evacuation of the building.
According the Dashti Jamal, one of the organiser’s
of this protest this was retaliation to yesterdays
attack by KDP on a peaceful
demonstration in Sulaimaniyah,
protesters began to throw stones at the fourth
branch of KDP, and guards from the KDP building
fired live ammunition killing two people and
injuring 57 others.
The KDP is led by the current president of Kurdistan
region, Massoud Barzani.
