WASHINGTON,—
Violence and indiscriminate attacks have lately
escalated against members of Kurdish minority groups
by unknown armed individuals in Iraqi Kurdistan.
Outlaws engaged in such callous sabotage acts solely
aim to agitate order and contravene the rule of law.
Such a tragic incidence is unprecedented in Kurdish
tolerant society.
It is firmly assumed that foreign elements played
key role in provoking public sentiments. Kurdish
Human Rights Commission (KHRC) condemns the
inexcusable storming, burning and destroying of
public and government properties in its strongest
terms possible.
KHRC urges Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to
immediately intervene in ensuring protection of the |

Assault against Christian and Kurdish liquor shops
and properties in Duhok province, Dec 2, 2011.
