the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) and believes
there are still clear political reflection on most
organisation. According to a number of documents,
political parties are still controlling the
educational sectors. In its second report published
in May ASK has criticised many governmental
departments in Kurdistan. The report also reveals
that the KRG had purposed a plan for the building of
125 special schools in 2010. Six months have passed
of 2010 and this plan is yet to go ahead. The report
states “There is still a clear political party
influence o KRG departments, and according to a
number of documents [Department of Education] is
mostly influenced by the political parties, which
mostly becomes a barrier for its plans to commence.”
It is also revealed in the report that people on
many levels, from the Department all the way to
students are unaware of the functioning of the new
system. hawlati info
