Kurdish Dutch fashion designer Olcay
Gulsen wins Amsterdam Business Award 2010

AMSTERDAM,— Olcay Gulsen, the Kurdish woman
behind the fast growing fashion brand Super Trash,
received Thursday the Amsterdam Business Award.
During a gala dinner at the Hotel Krasnapolsky in
Amsterdam last Thursday the first Amsterdam Business
Award was presented. In the presence of about 350
entrepreneurs and executives, the prize was awarded
to Olcay Gulsen, the owner of fashion label Super
Trash.
In this first issue three companies and their
directors were nominated for the award. They were
praised for "their good strategic vision and the
fact that they have built a healthy business leading
to million sales."

versatility of the 29-year-old founder Olcay. |

With this, she defeated
the two other companies Hulshoff BV Amsterdam and
Amsterdam Village Company. In a few years time she
has build her fashion company,www.ekurd.netas
she says "Born in LA and raised in Amsterdam," to an
internationally million company. Besides the award
Gulsen received an amount of 25,000 euros on media
value.
The 29-year old self made business woman, Olcay
Gulsen, was born in Waalwijk (the Netherlands),
after studying she moved to Amsterdam to start her
own company '2Stepzahead' in 2002. During Fashion
week she met the owner of Supertrash and started a
successful cooperation. In 2009 Olcay took over and
bought Supertrash. The success is extensively
expanded and Supertrash is being sold worldwide in
24 countries. Dutch Magazine 'Jackie' named her
'fashion entrepreneur of the year' and in 2008 she
was listed as 'Business Babe of the year' in Quote
magazine.

Dutch fashion designer of the label Supertrash.
Olcay was born in Waalwijk (the Netherlands), after

start her own company '2Stepzahead'. Olcay started
importing clothing labels such as Criminal and 5th
Avenue. During Fashion week she met the owner of
Supertrash and started a successful cooperation. In
