On 16th of March we have a message of peace for the
world:
Today we remember the 22nd anniversary of the
attacks of the Kurdish town Halabja with poison gas
, we remember a crime which has to be considered
exceptional in the history of mankind .While such a
heinous crime was committed by the Iraqi government
and the Baath party, the world and the International
Community stayed silent .
To use poison gas in Halabja against the civilian
population city in front of the eyes of the UN and
international community is a clear sign of
neglecting human right s principles. It was also a
clear sign how seriously the International Community
was about the two treaties that ban the use of
chemical weapons in 1925 in Geneva and the United
Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment
of the Crime of Genocide from 1948.
Toady we are here in front of your consulate in
Erbil to announce a massage of peace to Germany. We
also want to say that all regions which were bombed
with poison in the period of 1987-1988 are still
alive and support international peace.

We are here to tell you that we
dont believe that only Iraqi Government and Baith
party were responsible for the crime of using poison
Gas in our region,www.ekurd.netbut
all the countries who sold Saddam Husseins weapons
and the knowledge to produce them. Therefore it is
high time to take responsibility. Since it is well
known that German companies enabled Saddam to
produce the gas we urge you to take responsibility.
Germany itself suffered a lot from wars and this
memory should strengthen your role in support peace
and justice in the world not the Saddams, who
behaved like Nazis.
Today we, representatives from various villages and
towns that were bombed with chemical weapons, are
gathering here to repeat this message. We ask you
for official apologies towards the Kurdish people
from the German Government for what happened 22
years ago. Your country sold weapons and parts of
weapons to Iraq and therefore owe us such an excuse.
Until now many officials from Germany visited Iraqi
Kurdistan, but till now no one ever mentioned their
rule in the crimes which happened here.
If you are going to refuse an apology we will loose
our faith and believe that Germany is among the
peace loving nations.
