Kurdistan region 'Iraq', — Jalal Talabani is the
Kurds' nominee to occupy the position of Iraq’s
President, a Kurdish official said on Monday.
The former Kurdistan PM Nechirvan Barzani said that
Talabani as President of Iraq will serve the
interests of Kurds and all Iraqis.
“All Kurdish political parties should support the
nomination of Talabani to this post,” Barzani told
the press including Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
He said that Kurds’ internal differences should not
be exported outside their Kurdistan region.
