LONDON, — A man is appearing in court charged
with the murder of a woman whose decomposed body was
found in a suitcase.
Banaz Mahmod,
20, disappeared from her family home in Mitcham,
south London, in January 2006 and her body was
discovered in Handsworth, Birmingham, three months
later.
Omar Hussain, 30, an Iraqi Kurd, of Messenger Road,
Smethwick, Birmingham, will face Greenwich
Magistrates' Court on Saturday charged with her
murder.
He is also charged with the attempted kidnap of
Rahmat Suleimani, Miss Mahmod's boyfriend, and with
attempting to pervert the course of justice. |
