Iraqi Kurdistan's ministries divided
between KDP and PUK

ERBIL-Hewlęr,
Kurdistan region 'Iraq', — According to the
agreement of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan PUK
and Kurdistan Democratic Party KDP 10 ministers will
be KDP and 9 will be PUK. The new government will be
formed by the PM Barham Salih. The PUK led by the
Iraqi president Jalal Talabani and KDP led by
Kurdistan region president Massoud Barzani.
The new government will consist of 21 ministries and
will be divided between the two sides of the
Kurdistani list with 10 ministries for KDP and 9
ministries for PUK, except two ministries for
Turkmen and Christians.
The PUK and KDP have only agreed on the three
important ministries, the others aren’t divided yet.
The KDP will get the ministry of interior, ministry
of peshmerga and the financial ministry will be
given to PUK.
The Islamic-socialist Service and Reform list and
the
Change list 
(Gorran) will not be part of the government and will
formt he opposition. While it’s not clear yet if the
Islamic Movement of Kurdistan and the Communists
will participate in the government or not,www.ekurd.net
but it remains a
possibility if they will get the deputy of the
minister or as the vice-director of a ministry.
After the PM-post Barham Salih is confirmed, the new
government will be forming in 20 days. Sozan Shahab,
speaker of Kurdistani list declared that at “1
September the Kurdistan parliament will start it's
first session of the new term, at that time we will
select the candidate of the PM and the Kurdistan
regional president will give him the task to form
the new government˝.
During the Kurdistan parliamentary elections the
Change list got 25 of the 111 seats,www.ekurd.net
while
the Kurdistani list won 59 seats. The Change list
vowed to remain an opposition group within the
parliament and work for the upcoming Iraqi elections
in January as a separate list.
