Iraq hails Iran for projects in Kurdistan

An Iraqi official expresses gratitude to the Islamic
Republic's envoy to Baghdad for Iran's participation
in civil projects in Kurdistan.
The governor of Iraq's Sulaimaniyah city, Dana
Majeed, in a meeting with Kazemi Qomi, Iran's
ambassador to Baghdad, praised Iranian companies for
accomplishments in completing bridges, railways and
tunnels.
"Iranians have proved trustworthy to the local Iraqi
officials in the area," Majeed added, noting that
Iranians were invited to take part in some other
projects in the region.

"Iraqis and especially Kurds will not forget what
the Islamic Republic has done for them,www.ekurd.net

consider themselves as indebted to Iranians," IRIB
quoted the governor of Iraq's Sulaimaniyah city as
saying.
Earlier on Wednesday, Nechirvan Barzani, another
senior Iraqi Kurd official, said in a statement that
in a meeting with Iranian officials in Erbil,
Barzani invited Iranian firms to invest in Kurdistan
region in Iraq's north.
