The last issue of Leven (Livin) magazine has been
collected by the (KDP) Asayish forces to burn on
Tuesday, stated a communiqué issued by the Livin on
Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the Kurdish security forces, known as
Asayish, of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP),
led by Massoud Barzani, the current president of
Kurdistan region, collected the last issue of Livin
magazine to destroy them.
The Asayish forces, according to the communiqué,
barged into the local bookshop, known as Metyni Ek,
in Zakho, after threatening its owner, they
collected all the copies of issue 94 of Leven (Livin)
to destroy. The 18 year old Bawar Ahmed Miqdad

the brother of the bookshop owner was also detained
for 24 hours for the “crime” of selling Leven (Livin),
the communiqué reported.
