Kurdistan's endowments say Tuesday Eid

The Iraqi Sunni Endowments on Monday announced that
Tuesday is the first day of the Lesser Bairam Eid
al-Fitr (Muslims three-day festival when they break
the fast after the end of Ramadan).
"Today (Monday) is considered the last day of
Ramadan, and Tuesday will be the first day of Eid,"
the Sunni Endowments said in a release that was read
by Sheikh Abdulghafor al-Samaraee, the endowment's
head.
Meanwhile, the media official of the endowment and
religious affairs ministry in Kurdistan region said
on Monday that Tuesday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
“After making sure of seeing the crescent, the
committee of seeing the crescent decided that
Tuesday will be the first day of Eid in Iraq’s
Kurdistan region,” Marywan Naqshabandi told VOI.
The Kurdish government issued a statement earlier,
in which it announced that the official vacation of
Eid al-Fitr will be six days as of Tuesday.
It is expected that the Shiite clergies in Najaf
will announce tomorrow whether the first day of Eid
would be on Wednesday or Thursday.

fasting, in a celebration called Eid-ul-Fitr,
between Tuesday and Thursday.
