SEOUL, -- South Korean builder SSangyong Engineering & Construction Co. said Tuesday that a consortium led by the builder plans to submit its proposals to build infrastructure to the Kurdistan Regional Government early next month.

SSangyong E&C said the consortium inked the memorandum of understanding with the Kurdish government to rehabilitate infrastructure in the autonomous Kurdistan region of northern Iraq on February 14.

It also offered a presentation on the construction work to senior officials of the government on March 6.

The presentation helped the Kurdish government accept the South Korean consortium as a strategic partner in building infrastructure,
www.ekurd.net said Ssangyong E&C, adding the formal contract is expected to be signed late next month.

The consortium consists of five builders: Ssangyong E&C, Doosan Engineering & Construction Co. (KSE:002950), Kukdong Engineering & Construction Co., Anheung Development Co. and UI enc Corp.
