S.Korean firms to build infrastructure in Iraqi

SEOUL, -- South Korean builder SSangyong
Engineering & Construction Co. said Tuesday that a
consortium led by the builder plans to submit its
proposals to build infrastructure to the Kurdistan
Regional Government early next month.
SSangyong E&C said the consortium inked the
memorandum of understanding with the Kurdish
government to rehabilitate infrastructure in the
autonomous Kurdistan region of northern Iraq
on February 14.
It also offered a presentation on the construction
work to senior officials of the government on March
6.
The presentation helped the Kurdish government
accept the South Korean consortium as a strategic
partner in building infrastructure,www.ekurd.net
said Ssangyong E&C,
adding the formal contract is expected to be signed
late next month.
The consortium consists of five builders: Ssangyong
E&C, Doosan Engineering & Construction Co.

Co., Anheung Development Co. and UI enc Corp.
