U.S. Vice-President Dick Cheney arrived Tuesday
morning in Erbil, capital of Iraq's Kurdistan
region, and is expected to meet Kurdistan region
President Massoud Barzani,www.ekurd.net

Nechirvan Barzani to discuss political developments,
a media source from Kurdistan presidency office
said.
On Monday, Cheney arrived on Monday, in Baghdad on a
surprise visit during which he met with American
military commanders and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki
and other Iraqi officials.
This visit comes in conjunction with the fifth
anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. It
also comes in the framework of a tour to Vice
President Dick Cheney in the Middle East, a tour
that started with Oman and will also include Saudi
Arabia and Israel, the West Bank and Turkey. |
