Anfal and Halabja Working Group (AHWG) cordially
invite you to attend its First International
Conference on the legal recognition of crimes of
genocide committed against the Kurds.www.ekurd.net
This
will be held at above venue, on the 16th March 2008.
This marks the 20th anniversary of the mass killing
of the Kurds in Halabja by the former Iraqi
government in 1988.
The objectives of the conference are to:
1. Learn from the experience of other nations that
have suffered genocide.
2. Explore how national and international laws,
treaties, and conventions can be used to
internationally recognize the Anfal and Halabja
atrocities as acts of genocide.
3. Examine how the evidence can be identified and
presented to bring to justice those responsible for
genocide against the Kurds.
The speakers will be experts in International Law
and issues related to genocide.
