Iran Kurdish music ensemble 'Kamkars' to
perform in EU

LONDON, -- The prominent Iranian Kurdish 'Kamkars'
music ensemble is scheduled to hold a series of
traditional music concerts in major European cities,
PressTV reported.
The Kamkars will perform newly composed and most
popular works in both Persian and Kurdish languages.
The ensemble's first stops will be Madrid and
Barcelona, from where they will leave for Germany to
perform in Munich, Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.
The Kurdish Kamkar family is among the most famous
Iranian musicians who present amiable Kurdish
melodies and traditional Persian music.
The Kamkars, a Kurdish family of seven brothers and

Iranian Kurdistan (Kurdish: Kurdistana Īranź or
Kurdistana Rojhilat (Eastern Kurdistan) or Rojhilatź
Kurdistan (East of Kurdistan)) is an unofficial name
for the parts of Iran inhabited by Kurds and has
borders with Iraq and Turkey. It includes the
greater parts of West Azerbaijan province, Kurdistan
Province, Kermanshah Province, and Ilam Province.
Kurds form the majority of the population of this
region with an estimated population of 4 million.
The region is the eastern part of the greater
cultural-geographical area called Kurdistan.
