Presidency of Kurdistan region welcomes
ratification of Iraq's federal budget

Erbil-Hewler, Kurdistan Region 'Iraq',--
Spokesman for the presidency of the Kurdistan region
of Iraq welcomed on Thursday the Iraqi parliament
ratification of Iraq's federal budget and the
allocation of 17 percent for the Kurdistan region of
Iraq.
"we in the presidency of the Kurdistan region
welcome this decision and believe that the
ratification of the budget is a good start for
mutual understanding.
The next steps are hoped to be in the best interests
of the peoples of federal Iraq", he added.
The Iraqi Parliament
approved, on Wednesday, in one deal
three laws including the federal budget of 2008,www.ekurd.net
amnesty, and the
disorganized provincial assemblies.
