Kurdistan Democrat Party of Iran and Intellectual
Clergies Union of Kurdistan (Yekety Zanayany Ayini
Kurdistan)
December 31, 2008
K.D.P.I is the first political party in eastern
Kurdistan (Iranian Kurdistan). Kurd in Iran enjoyed
its first experience of democracy after the invasion
of Iran by Britain and Russia during the world war
II.
The collapse of Reza Shah regime by tow superpower
and creation of suitable political environment in
Kurdistan region was an opportunity for feudal elite
and also religion leader in Kurdistan to expand
their social and political power by formation of
Kurdistan Democratic of Iran Party (PDKI).
Nawshirwan Mustafa Amin in The Government of
Kurdistan stats the " the influence of the clergies,www.ekurd.net
sheikh and domination of
feudal and high class family are invisible and come
into consideration in the formation of the republic"
(Nawshirwan, M, A. P.131). At the same time, inside
the PDKI, there was also a favourable And positive
conditions for Kurdish intellectual that not
consider themselves either belonged to religious or
feudal spectre to breaths freely and enjoying the
free and open political environment of Kurdistan
situations.
The structure of (K.D.P.I) from its establishment
clearly showed that feudal, clergies and Sheikh
dominated the political administration of this
political party in fact it is foolish to
underestimate the values and positive point of this
experience and it is considered by many commentator
to be a greatest achievement and a classic movement
of the Kurdish political movement in its kind.
However, the collapse of Republic of Mahabad,www.ekurd.net
is a topic that should
be taking into deep consideration and analysis by
any political party in Kurdistan which come to
existence since than in the field of politic
generally. While there are many factors for the
collapse of first Kurdish Republic undoubtedly some
of these factors related to the leadership and its
structure. The short introduction to this history
certainly related to most recent move of some
Kurdish political party in Kurdistan of Iran.
Establishment of Intellectual Clergies Union (
Yekety Zanayany Ayiny) is a current and another move
of religious leader in Kurdistan to occupied the
political field in Kurdistan. It is a repeated
experience which was reflected in the idea of Ahmad
Moftizada in decades of 1970s and 1980s in Kurdistan
of Iran (Eastern Kurdistan). However, Political
Islam and challenges they face in the Islamic world
such as Islamic regime in Iran, Islamic Brotherhood
in Egypt and Taliban in Afghanistan and the
difficulties that they created for modern world are
most evident example of incapability of political
Islam in solving social, political and economy
problems of globalise world and 21st century that
characterised by democratic values.
Despite this, however, it is not astonishing if some
people such Mustafa Hijry the leader of PDKI, to
knocking any door and supporting Intellectual
Clergies Union (Yekety Zanayany Ayiny) organization
not because he is a democrat but because his party
desperately looking for political credit inside the
Kurdistan. And more important is that his comment
was embraced by Hassan Aminy the leader of Maktaby
Koran, a religious movement that established by
Ahmad Moftizada in the late 1979. My argument is not
abut the Establishment of such organisation,www.ekurd.net
it is obviously because
in modern democracy there is a room for any
political party to exercise and practice there
opinion but my concern is about the way that PDKI
want to revaluated the old fashion and classical
methods by backing a group that perhaps had social
influence in the past.
Recent move by KDKI in shown a green light to
Political Islam of Intellectual Clergies Union (YZA)
definitely judged by majority of people in Eastern
Kurdistan as a reverse and resilient move and it is
a U turn that resulted from the lack of alternative
for the P.D.K.I in the period of political crisis
they face.
