students deny violence against the Christians
On Wednesday, hundreds of the participant students
in the 3rd future conference which is held by the
Solidarity Organization, demonstrated against the
displacement and threatens against the Christians
and the Ezdies in Mosul.
The demonstrators carried slogans in both Kurdish
and Arabic asking to put an end to the interferences
of the neighbouring countries in the Iraqi affairs.
They also demanded to improve the educational
conditions in the Iraqi universities and institutes.
The demonstration started from the University of
Sulaimani and headed to the headquarters of the
Sulaimani Governorate. The demonstrators met the
governor Dana Ahmed Majeed and delivered him a
memorandum included their demands among them:
* Putting an end to the displacement by force.
* The full commitment to the constitution.
*Paying more attention to woman.
*Achieving the full sovereignty of Iraq.
*Demanding the neighbouring countries to respect
Iraq’s sovereignty and tightening security on their
borders with Iraq.
*Respecting the university campus and the necessity
of education independence.
* The necessity to change the curriculum.
Holding the last festival
for Korean-Kurdish friendship
The Korean military division of al-Zaytun held the
last festival of Korean-Kurdish friendship yesterday
in its training center under the motto of “the four
years we spent together,www.ekurd.net
our goals were achieved
and we became friends”. The festival aimed to
strengthen the relations between Kurdistan region
and South Korea.
The festival was attended by a number of officials
from Kurdistan region, Korean ambassador in Iraq,
commandeer of al-Zaytun division, operations
commander of the Korean forces in Kurdistan,
students that are participating in the last training
course of the division.
At the beginning of the festival, soldiers from al-Zaytun
division performed some artistic activities, like
dances from the Korean folklore and Taekwondo
Later, Korean and Kurdish songs were presented in
the festival, fashion show for the Korean and
Kurdish dresses, principles of Korean marriage,
playing a piece of Samonawry music and playing a
movie that shows the similarity between Kurdistan
Region and South Korea.

takes part in Mersin Home 2008 Fair
A source in Sulaimaniyah Chamber of Trade and
Industry said that a trade delegation from Kurdistan
headed to Turkey in order to participate in an
international trade Fair to be held in the Turkish
city of Mersin.
