Geneva: Head of the Iraqi Delegation Asks International Recognition of Kurdish Genocide

A joint delegation form KRG and the Iraqi federal government ministries of human rights headed by Dr. Shwan Mohamed Aziz, KRG Minister of Human Rights, visited Switzerland to participate in the meetings of UN Council of Human Rights on September 24th .
“It is scheduled that the Iraqi delegation to talk about the decisions of Iraqi High Criminal Court concerning Anfal case and to discuss the international recognition of Anfal genocide against Kurdish people with UN in the coming days.” KRG minister of human rights said.

PUK Delegation Meets with Italian Deputy PM

Mala Bakhtiar, active member of PUK politburo and supervisor of PUK Foreign Office, arrived at Rome in frame work of the PUK Delegation’s visit to several European countries. The delegation will meet with several senior Italian officials, including Italian Deputy PM,Francesco Rottely, Italian minister of culture, president of Margarita Party and other high-ranking officials.

On EU Budget, Czech Republic Companies to Implement Several Projects in Kurdistan

A delegation headed by Mr. Dara Muhammad Amin, KRG Minister of Environment, visited Czech Republic on Sept 24, and met with officials from Ministry of Environment, and Ministry of industry there.
KRG, Minister of Environment had asked Czech officials to carry out projects in Kurdistan. Several projects were discussed during the meeting.
“We have discussed several projects such as Environment survey and arranging training courses for Ministry of Environments’ cadres. It was decided that Czech companies would cooperate with us while the budget would be granted by EU, “KRG, Minister of Environment added.

Iranian Artillery Bombardment of Kurdistan Region Border Areas

The Iranian artillery bombarded at 4.30 pm on Wednesday, (Bardi Teshy Res) Mountain and its surroundings in the border area of Haji Omaran district, PUKmedia correspondent said in the area.  The bombardment targeted (Darband) village, situated 20 km on the Iraqi side of the border, and 5 km away from Choman district, without causing any human or material or damages, and it’s still going on, the correspondent added.

Kurdistan Region Parliament Delegation to participate in Rome international conference

To participate in Rome international conference, speaker of Kurdistan Parliament Adnan al-Mufti headed a delegation, including Awni Bazaz, Muhammad Ismail and Dr. Rozhan Abdul Qadir, Kurdistan MPs as well as Dr. Bakhtiar Amin head of international alliance organization for Justice, Mrs. Safia al-Suhail member of Iraqi Parliament and Tariq Jawher Sarmami media Consultant, arrived yesterday in Rome ,capital of Italy.

The Implementation of Article 140 was Stressed on in Two Meetings of PUK Delegation in France

Following the arrival of PUK’s delegation to France under supervision of Mala Bakhtiar, active member of politburo and Sherko Othman member of the external relations, Franc’s Socialist Party on 24-9 organized a lunch banquet in honor of PUK’s delegation.
Mauris Bord, secretary general of Socialist Party for the presidency of the international affairs, Kareem Pakzad, member of the international relations department, in charge of middle-east department, the active member on the Kurdish group in International Socialist Organization and also Joseph Tuma from the relations department attended the banquet.
Mala Bakhtiar shed light on the major development in Iraq in confronting terrorism. The importance of the implementation of the constitutional items was stressed on.The same day the delegation was received by Piere Moskovitch, national secretary of socialist party of France who is also supervisor of the international relations of the party, former minister of the state for external affairs and current member of socialist group in the French Parliament.
In an interview, the implementation of Article 140 was stressed and the current situation of Iraq, Kurdistan and the region were explained. Before that, on 23-8 the external relations bureau of PUK in France organized a meeting for Mala Bakhtiar where a large number of Kurds were present.

Delegation from Halabja City Visits KRG Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research

KRG Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Edris Hadi ,received a delegation from Halabja city ,including the city’s acting -governor and several officials of the area accompanied by a number of Kurdistan region parliament MP’s.
The delegation asked opening a university in the area. KRG Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on his side considered the demand as their legitimate right, stressing the formation of a committee for discussing opening a university in their area in addition of opening college of Education in Halabja in the coming years in cooperation with Sulaimaniyah
University.

Commander of Rescue Battalion of KRG Interior Ministry was Assassinated

Commander of Rescue Battalion of KRG Interior Ministry was assassinated near his home by several unknown militants in Kifri district.
The late commander, Ali Samin was assassinated by several unknown militants using muffler pistols near his house in Kifri district, a close source told PUKmedia on Tuesday.
PUK politburo announced a statement and condemned the crime, asking that those criminals who committed the crime to be drawn in front of law.

KRG Minister of Health Visits Kirkuk

KRG minister of health, Dr. Ziryan Othman, visited Kirkuk today to see the situation of cholera outbreak in the city and made a tour to Kirkuk general hospital and inquired about the situation of the victims.
He also met with Kirkuk governor, Abdul Rahman Mustafa, to discus ways of dealing with the disease and controlling it in the city. Speaking to the reporters, Dr. Ziryan Othman said that cholera outbreak has been controlled in Sulaimaniyah and that yesterday only 7 cases were recorded, today reduced to 5 cases.

Concerning those cases that were not recorded in Kirkuk city, KRG minister of health said that Kirkuk hospitals receive 80-100 patients infected with diarrhea, vomiting and nearly 6-8 cases of cholera disease, saying that until now 1500 has been recorded.
He expressed the support of KRG for Kirkuk city to control the outbreak. KRG minister of health criticized the Iraqi ministry of health for ignoring Kirkuk city regarding the dieasse, indicating that the Iraqi government allocated 30 million dollars for dealing with the disease but the Iraqi ministry of health didn’t paid attention to Kirkuk completely.
He also appreciated the role of President Talabani, KRG, and the Iraqi government for presenting their full support to overcome the disease. Dr. Ziryan Othman also said that theirs is a plan by doctors without borders organization to build a hospital in Kirkuk for dealing with the emergency cases of terrorist attacks.
