Sulaimaniyah International Exhibition to be
Opened Tomorrow
Sulaimani second international exhibition will be
opened tomorrow Wednesday, September the 5th on 10
am local time.276 local and international companies,
including 60 foreign companies from several
countries such as US, UK, Austria, Turkey
and the Arab countries.
“This exhibition will be run by sponsorship of Jalal
Talabani ,the Iraqi president ,and 420 prominent
figures from neighboring countries figures and 22
countries will participate in the exhibition.”

member told PUKmedia on Tuesday ,September the 4th .
“Regarding the security aspect, firm security
measures have been taken by the forces of KRG
ministry of interior and all the preparations have
been made. We had some problems on the Syrian border
regarding the transportation f gods brought by
products of the participating companies. The Iraqi
federal government managed to deal with these
problems”, Yassin Rahim, administrative committee
member of Sulaimani Chamber of Commerce said on
Tuesday.
An Industrial Exhibition for 80 Italian Companies
to Be Opened In Hawler
From September 6 to 10, 2007 an international
exhibition for Italian companies in cooperation with
The Italian Access Company will be opened in Hawler.
80 Italian Companies will participate in the
exhibition. On this occasion on September 2 in
Sheraton Hotel hall a press conference will be held.
The conference will be attended by Abdullah Ahmed,
supervisor of Hawler international exhibition, Aziz
Ibrahim, general director of commerce in the
Ministry of Commerce, representative of the Italian
consulate in Kurdistan and Angelo Kasbani,
coordinator of the Italian industrial exhibition.
At the beginning, Abdullah Ahmed said in his speech
on September 6, 80 various companies will present
their architectural, electric, medical and
industrial goods. The purpose is to improve
Kurdistan economy and commerce. Later Italian
consulate representative delivered his speech saying
that Italian government shares the pains of Kurdish
people, because Italian people also suffered from
oppression and tyranny.
Aziz Ibrahim said one of the exhibition’s advantages
is bringing goods of high quality, especially from a
developed country like Italy which has a strong
industry and economy in the world. Finally Angelo
Kasbani said: all the companies that have come to
Kurdistan to participate in the exhibition are
highly qualified. We aim at improving Kurdistan
economy.
Kurdistan Region Parliament Opens its Second
Round of the Third Year
Kurdistan Region Parliament headed by Adnan Mufti,
speaker of Kurdistan Region Parliament, held its
opening session of its second round of the third
year on Tuesday, September the 4th in attendance of
Massoud Barzani, president of Kurdistan region and
his deputy Kosrat Rasul Ali and several party and
governmental officials.
Massoud Barzani during a speech confirmed that
President Bush said that the coming report by
General David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker
will not affect the US strategy in Iraq and that the
US target is success.
Concerning the quadruple agreement between the Iraqi
political parties, Massoud Barzani said that
President Bush supported it .He also said that there
are some efforts for amending the Iraqi permanent
constitution and that if those efforts would be at
the expense of Kurdistan region’s interests they
never be accepted. Concerning the article 140 of the
Iraqi permanent constitution president of Kurdistan
region said that there is good progress and positive
decisions have been made.
KRG Deputy Prime Minister Receives South Korean
Ambassador in Iraq
KRG Deputy Prime Minister, Omar Fattah received Ha
Chan Hu, South Korean ambassador in Iraq yesterday.
In a friendly meeting, Mr. Omar Fattah thanked South
Korea people and government for their obvious
participation in reconstruction process in Kurdistan
Region.
He encouraged Korean companies to make investments
in Kurdistan.
In return, the Korean ambassador said “we consider
Kurdistan Region as a secure and stable region and
we know that the opportunities of investment are
available here. We intend to participate more
heavily to invest in Kurdistan.”
Education in Kurdish Language Permitted in
Turkish New Draft Constitution
According to the Turkish new Constitution, other
languages especially Kurdish language are permitted
to be studied at the Turkish education centers as a
freewill language, said Orgon Ozbodon head of
drafting the new Turkish constitution .
The new Turkish constitution, in addition to
education in the Turkish as formal and main
language, permits education in Kurdish language for
those like to study in Kurdish, Ozbodon added.
