Tehran, -- Iranian Foreign Minister
Manouchehr Mottaki has said Iran has asked the
German government to explain a PEJAK leader's

"The German government should be responsible for the
presence of certain PEJAK agents in that country,"
Mottaki told reporters on the sidelines of a meeting
with economic and trade officials of Iran Chamber of

reside good relations between Iran and Iraqi
Kurdistan, our border provinces and companies have

its border areas, saying, "It is necessary to
prevent terrorists' entry to Iran from Iraqi borders
and other areas."

The present leader of the organisation is Haji
Ahmadi. According to the Washington Times, half the
members of PEJAK are women, many of them still in
their teens, and one of the female members of the
leadership council is Gulistan Dugan, a psychology
graduate from the University of Tehran. This is due
primarily to the fact that PJAK is strongly
supportive of women's rights. PJAK believes that
women must have a strong role in government and must
be on an equal level with men in leadership
positions.
