KRG condemns Iranian bombardment of border area (KRG)
For several days the Iranian forces have been
heavily bombarding villages near the town of Penjwin,
in the border area between Iran and the Kurdistan
Region in Iraq. The shelling has inflicted
considerable damage and has forced frightened
villagers to flee their homes.
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) condemns the
bombardments and has protested to the Islamic
Republic of Iran through our official representative
in Tehran. We have demanded that Iran immediately
cease this unwarranted military action that is
harming innocent civilians and is a violation of the
Kurdistan Region's and Iraq's sovereignty. krg org
Iraq Deliver a Protests Note to Iran
Once more the Islamic republic of Iran’s forces
bombed Bradost area in Sidakan sub-district.The
damages are still unknown. Again, yesterday they
shelled Haji Omaran’s area.
Residents in the area left their homes in
panic.Noori Al-Maliki8 the Iraqi PM in a press
conference stated that bombing Kurdistan Region is
violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and we don’t permit
that kind of aggression. But this has to be settled
through diplomatic efforts and we shall inform our
brothers in Turkey and Iran about our stance.
On the other hand the Iraqi Fedral government
delivered a protest not to the Iranian Embassy in
Baghdad demanding further clarification for the
reasons of the continuation of Revolutionary Guard’s
bombardment of the border areas of Kurdistan.
Iranian Artillery Shells Kurdistan Villages Again
Our reporter in Pishdar area, al-Sulaimaniyah
governorate mentioned that the Iranian artillery
started its bombardment again this afternoon to the
area villages.
A source in Pishdar district administrative said to
our site that the new bombardment includes Barda
Qalshew, Qirnaqa, Bish Aashan, Zharawa and Basta
districts and its surrounding villages without
mentioning the damages.
WHO Organization’s Delegation Visits Sulaimaniyah
A high ranking-delegation from health organization
(WHO) will visit Sulaimaniyah for investigation on
Cholera disease which separated in Sulaimaniyah.
Concerning this, Dr. Najmadin Hassan, the director
of health and environment department told PUKmedia
that the delegation is in Erbil now and they will
come to Sulaimaniyah in August 2. Dr. Najmadin also
declared that 208 people were treated in
Sulaimaniyah.
Clashes between Iran and Pijak
Close sources from Qandeel told PUKmedia that the
clashes between Pejak and Iran in the last 8 days
resulted in killing and wounding nearly 60 of
Iranian Revolutionary Guard(Pasdar), so far Pejak
have not disclosed any counting about wounding and
killing their militants.
According to the sources from Kurdistan of Turkey,
during the last 3days in Shirnakh areas, Turkish
forces launched an operation against PKK forces and
resulted in killing and wounding many soldiers on
both sides. In Mardin areas two Turkish soldiers
were killed and one was wounded during the clashes
between PKK and Turkish forces.
