Turkey Repatriates A Number of Kurdish Tourists to Their Homeland

A number of Kurdish citizens from Hawler boarded a flight to Turkey through Azmar Airline Company few days ago, but after their arrival in Ankara Airport, Turkish police forces prevented the tourists from remaining and repatriated them to Kurdistan region, although they did not have counterfeit documents. “After we got off the plane, the airport police did not let us out as ordinary tourists, though our documents were bona fide.
We had been detained in the airport for hours then repatriated to Kurdistan region by the same airplane. We each had paid Azmar Company $700.” Said Farhang Izzaddin ,one of the tourists.

Victims of Shangar Suicide Bomb Attacks Rises to 500 Martyrs; 375 Wounded

As many as four trucks loaded with explosives exploded on last night August 14/15 in the villages of Shangar district and Baaj, west of the northern city of Mosul, whose populations are from the Kurdish Yazidis, killing at least 500 civilians and wounding other 375.
The Iraqi police and army forces in cooperation with the MNF are trying to dig and get out the casualties among the devastated hoses of the scene. “Our hospital received a large number of casualties; many of them their wounds are serious. Following the attacks, the terrorists bombarded the area, raising the death tolls further. The terrorists have already threatened civilians of the area of mass killing, because of collecting signatures in favor of the treaty of facing the al –Qaeda terrorist group with the tribes’ sheiks of Saladdin province, an eye witness said.

Meeting between 2 Kurdish Parties; Islamic Daawa Party and the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council

In attendance of his Excellency, Mr. Jalal Talabani, the Iraqi president, President Barzani PM Nuri al-Maliki, Ammar al-Hakim, Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi on Wednesday August the 15th a quadruple meeting was held between representatives of PUK, KDP, Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council (SIIC) and the Islamic Daawa Party for discussing the general situation in Iraq and how to deal with the current challenges and solving the problem’s in the Iraqi arena. During the meeting, which was held in the office of president Talabani in Baghdad, several thoughts and suggestions were discussed for deepening the bilateral ties between the Kurdish side and these two parties on all levels and solving several problems .Also during the meeting the principal of real participation of all the sides in ruling the country, sketching the general polices, the need for developing the government, reforming the general situation at all levels were discussed.

KRG Condemns Terrorist Attacks Against Yazidis

Statement by the KRG Spokesman, yesterday four suicide bomb attacks targeted the Kurdish Yazidi community in Gir Uzeir and Siba Sheikh Khidir, which are near Mosul and outside the KRG-administered area. More than 200 people were killed and about 200 injured.
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) condemns this cowardly and barbaric act against innocent civilians of this tolerant religious minority.
Our thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims. We are very grateful for the prompt cooperation and coordination of the Multi-National Force with the KRG in assisting the injured and survivors. The Kurdistan Regional Government remains steadfast in its resolve to help the Iraqi government and security forces to bring to justice the murderers responsible for planning these cowardly acts, and will continue to provide assistance and aid to the effected areas, the survivors and their relatives. President Talabani Condemns Shangar Crime

President Jalal Talabani expressed his condemns to the crime against the innocent civilians in Shangar district, the crime that caused the death and injuring more than 200 Yazidi Kurds. His Excellency urged all the countries and parties to condemn this offensive crime, and he prompted at the same time all the political forces, religion men and Medias to raise their voice against its perpetrators. President Talabani stated that what has happened in Shangar is part of the eradication war by terrorists against all the Iraqi components.

The number of the remains of Khanekin Mass Graves reaches 33

A security source in Khanekin announced that today August 15, the inspection teams of Sulaimani security office and Khanekin security office, in their intense search they found other remains. They had Kurdish clothes on. The source added that the number of the remains reaches 33.

For the First time KRG participates in the International Week of Water in Stockholm

On August 13, the conference 17 of annual international week of water was held under the sponsorship of Swedish PM. The conference was attended by: Ban ki-Moon’s representative, the minister of Water and Environment, scientists, and representatives of 140 countries.
During the conference the problem and the solutions of water in the world are main topics for discussion. The conference lasts till the 18 of August. It is the first time that a delegation from KRG is invited by Stockholm Institute of Water to the conference. The KRG delegation included: Tahsin Qadir, Minister of Water sources, Dara Muhammad, The minister of Environment, and two specialists in Water source ministry.

Kosrat Ali Recieves Hawar Mulla Muhammad

Yesterday evening Kosrat Rasul Ali, the deputy of KRG President received Hawar Mulla Muhammad, the Kurdish Iraqi international football player. In that reception Kosrat Ali congratulated Hawar and Iraqi international team on their victory. Concerning this Hawar Mulla Muhammad appreciated the deputy’s reception. It is worth mentioning that Hawar Mulla Muhammad participated in Asian Cup with Iraqi International Team and he was
one of the key players in winning the cup.

An Interview with Hawar Mulla Muhammad

Yesterday morning Hawar Mulla Muhammad arrived in Kurdistan on his way to Sulaimaniyah. He was received by Kosrat Rasul Ali, the deputy of KRG president. On that occasion Stadium made this interview with him:
You return to Kurdistan just for visiting your family or you have other plans?
It is clear that today I arrived in Kurdistan and until now I haven’t visited home and I was received by Mr. Kosrat and I am happy that such a prominent official receives Hawar and I appreciate that reception. I returned to visit my family and I don’t know how many days I will stay here because I am expecting a telephone call from Armenia club.

Although you are negotiating with Armenia Club but some people say that Hawar will return to Apolonda Club, is it true?
No, my contract with Apolonda is not finished yet but I will have talk with them about signing for Armenia.

What was your problem with Younes Mahmud?
I have good relations with Younes and we don’t have any problems.

Now that in Kurdistan many fans are waiting for Hawar, how are you going to receive those fans and where?
The main thing for a player is fans, and I am happy that the Kurdish people are encouraging me at this level. I am ready to receive those fans anywhere.

What is your last word for the fans?
I am proud of my nation and I am happy with my fans and I also think that nobody should differentiate between the nations in Iraq. And I am ready to play for Kurdistan National Football Team.
