Sulaimaniyah, Kurdistan region (Iraq), -- The
Iranian bombardment of the border areas of Kurdistan
region included the areas of Khnera, Lolan and
Qandil. In Iraqi Kurdistan territory in Qandil area
the Iranian forces five day's ago trespassed 5 km
and then withdrew to their positions, strengthening
their positions and attacking the area daily by
shelling and fighting jets. Abdul Wahid Guani, the
acting governor of Choman district said on Thursday.
He added "The bombardment decreased in the passed
two days, until now the bombardment left no
casualties, but there are large domestic damages of
the agricultural corps in the area.".
He also pointed out that the Iranian government
issued a statement in Haji Omaran border gate in
Choman territory telling the residents of the area
evacuate their areas.
"The Iranian government was always your friend, the
US government motivates some insurgents to
deteriorate Iran’s security, therefore, we intend to
launch land and air attacks on those insurgents."

Nearly 150 houses were damaged, but in the areas of
Khnera and Lolan of Sidakan district the damages are
larger as the bombardment targets the houses, the
acting governor of Choman district said as well.
Kurdish authorities in Kurdistan region (northeastern
Iraq) said on Tuesday that
leaflets warning Iraqi Kurdish villagers to
evacuate ahead of an Iranian military offensive
against Kurdish rebels.
The leaflets said the offensive would be around the
villages of Qandoul, Haj Omran and Isaw and the town
of Qal'at Dizah, in Sulaimaniyah province.
Two women have been wounded, livestock killed, farms
and orchards set ablaze and homes damaged in the
shelling near small villages across a front of about
50 km (30 miles), local officials have said in the
past three days.
A source from Iraq's Kurdistan Government
said clashes broke out between the PEJAK (Party for a Free Life in Kurdistan) fighters
and the Iranian forces on the borderline between
Iraq and Iran without giving further details about
the clashes.
PEJAK (Party for a Free Life in Kurdistan) , took up
arms for self-rule in the country's mainly Kurdistan
province northwestern of Iran. Half the members of
PEJAK are Kurdish women.
Iraqi
Kurdistani politician says, Iran is using
a Kurdish PJAK separatists group as an
excuse to invade Kurdistan region
(Iraq) to prevent the establishment of Kurdistan
state in the Kurdish autonomous region in (northern
Iraq). Tehran is fearing this could fan separatism
among its own large Kurdish population in Kurdish
northwest Iran (Iranian Kurdistan). Iran is home to
over 5 million ethnic Kurds.
