Erbil-Hewler, Kurdistan region (Iraq), -- US
President George Bush urged the President of
Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani in a phone call
Saturday to contribute to solving the political
problems in Iraq.
Faisal Al-Dabbagh, spokesman of the Kurdistan
presidency, said Bush urged Barzani to exert efforts
to help the Iraqi parties resolve their political
differences.
Bush and Barzani exchanged views over political
developments in Iraq, he said.
Dabbagh said Barzani might pay a visit to Baghdad
soon to meet political leaders in order to convince
them to solve their differences.
Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki's government received
a setback after the Accord Front quitted the
cabinet. |
