An Oil Production Refinery will be Established in
Dukan
For solving oil production problems in Sulaimaniyah
and its suburbs, a private sector will establish an
oil refinery in Dukan.
Jutiyar Nuri, the deputy of Sulaimaniyah governor
said that they discussed oil production problems in
Sulaimaniyah with the officials and a private sector
started establishing an oil products refinery in
Talar village in Dukan by an allocation of more than
10 million dollars.
He also said that the project will be finished in
3-4 next months.
It is worth mentioning that by finishing this
project 60% of the oil production problems will be
solved in Sulaimaniyah and its suburbs.
Salih: Al-Maliki is Desirous in Disarmament of
Militia
Iraqi Prime Minister deputy Dr. Barham Salih said
that “Presidency Council and P.M. Nouri Al-Maliki
are meeting continually to reach an agreement upon
draft laws which interest Iraqi people.”
And in an interview with CNN he said “Iraqi security
forces led major operations especially in June
against militias in Baghdad, Al-Imaraa and Al-Nasiriyah,
and P.M. is desirous in disarmament of militias.”
The draft of Natural Sources Ministry Passed
On July 23rd, the Kurdistan Parliament in an
unnatural meeting which was attended by Adnan Mufti,
the Parliament President and his deputy, and the
Minister of Natural Sources, discussed the draft of
Natural Sources Ministry.
They asked the Natural Sources Minister to clarify
the articles of the draft. The Parliament President
asked to reduce the number of the minister deputies
from 3 to 1. The members accepted. After they
discussed all the articles of the draft, they
reduced the articles to 12 and accepted the draft.
The Oil Ministry Agrees to Open an Oil Refinery
in Kirkuk
Abdulrahman Mustafa, the Kirkuk Governor in a
meeting with the Northern Oil Company said that at
the result of a long attempt, the Oil Ministry
decided to open oil refinery in Kirkuk. He also said
that opening this oil refinery can decrease the oil
problems in the city and the area.
Iranian artillery shells Kurdistan Region Border
Areas
Once again the Iranian artillery bombarded several
border areas of Kurdistan Region in Haji Omaran area
on July the 23rd.
During these bombardments which started from 12:00
pm local time until 2 pm, some areas like Bardunaz,
Garui Gazgazka, Dole Sebar, Paya Mountain, Kani khwa,
which all belong to Haji Omaran area, were targeted.
Despite some little domestic damages there were no
casualties, PUKmedia correspondent in the area
reported.
KRG Ministry of Housing and Reconstruction Signs
Memorandum with Delegation of Korean Companies
After a discussions between KRG Ministry of Housing
and Reconstruction and a senior delegation of Korean
international companies, Emad Ahmed ,KRG minister of
Housing and Reconstruction, signed the first
understanding memorandum between his ministry and
representatives of 14 famous Korean companies
,including Hyundai, King Nam, Dong Sang which are
working in different fields of reconstruction, roads
and several other fields ,in attendance of Korean
Medias on Tuesday July 24.
During a speech, the KRG minister expressed his
happiness on their readiness and participation in
reconstructing Kurdistan and later Iraqi
infrastructures, reassuring his ministry’s
cooperation and facilitation to the Korean
companies. He conceded this memorandum as the first
step in working, hoping the next steps to be more
quickly and practical so that people of kurdistan
may benefit from the Korean modern technology.
Next the KRG minister proposed two projects to the
Koreans to work in, namely making the two sides
Erbil-Zakho high way and building of 5000 investment
housing units in Kurdistan regions cities.
On return the host delegating promised after
exploring both projects they will make necessary
decisions.

Parliament Hall
On July 24, during the discussion about Oil draft in
Kurdistan region, the parliament members asked to
postpone the oil draft.
In this regard, Arez Abdulla, the head of the
relationship committee in parliament, said “We asked
to postpone the oil draft to another time but they
rejected, therefore the Green fraction (PUK MPs)
leaved the parliament hall.
He also said that the reasons behind leaving
parliament hall are these points:
1-To make more deals and studies about the issue
while it is very important.
2-We are in holiday, it is not necessary to make an
unordinary session to an ordinary oil draft.
The discussions are postponed to another time, in
addition to the Green fraction in parliament, many
other of the parliament members were with postponing
the discussion.
