President of Kurdistan Region receives American
Ambassador
Massoud Barzani, President of Kurdistan Region on
Wednesday in Salahaddin received US Ambassador in
Iraq ,Mr. Ryan Crocker ,and the delegation that
accompanied him .A source from office of President
of Kurdistan Region said it is expected that many
meetings to be held between both sides for
discussing the current situations in Iraq and
Kurdistan Region.
On another hand, Mr.Massoud Barzani, President of
Kurdistan Region renewed the constant stand of
Kurdish people’s opposition to any amendment in the
Iraqi Permanent Constitution that may reduce from
its rights, “but if the amendment is for empowering
the Constitution so we all support that”. Mr.
Barzani said.
Once again Turkish Artillery Shells Iraqi
Kurdistan
The Turkish artillery shelled on Wednesday at 10
O’clock PM Berwari Bala border area for the 2nd time
at the same day.
Its worth mentioned that Turkish forces shelled the
border areas continually under the excuse of PKK’s
elements being there.
A Message from DTP to President Talabani

Your Excellency Mr.Talabani,
We are deeply sorry because of the attack has
happened in Kirkuk that caused of a death of 83
people and wound of 140 people.
In this process Kirkuk referendum is much closed and
the reason of these attacks in Kirkuk is destroying
statue of Kurds and creating chaos in Kirkuk in
order to post pone Kirkuk referendum. The more
Kurdish people keep their unity and cooperation;
those dark focuses will not be able to reach their
aim. We hardly condemn the attack and wish
condolences for people lost their lives and wish
speedy recovery for injured
people.

President Talabani Meets with Deputy Commander of
MNF, Director of Iraqi Institute in Washington
Mr. Jalal Talabani, the Iraqi president, met with
Rand Rahim, Director of Iraqi Institute in
Washington, on Thursday July the 19th.During a
meeting president Talabani shed light on the
security situation, the achievements which were
carried out in the modern Iraq concerning the
political process ,facing terrorism, establishment
of stability in Iraq.
His Excellency Pointed out that large areas were
purged from the terrorists, abduction and explosion
attacks are decreasing constantly and that the Sunni
areas started fighting the terrorists. President
Talabani stated that these realities to be reported
as they are, criticizing some Arabic Medias that
only show negative sides of the Iraqi situation and
not cover the positive aspects.
On another side, President Talabani met with General
Bill Rulou, Deputy Commander of MNF in Iraq and an
accompanying delegation.
During a meeting they talked about Baghdad security
plan, how to activate it, and resolving its problems
and shortcomings in a way that to obtain full
successes over the terrorists. Also during the
meeting, how to train the Iraqi military forces,
raising their ability standards, taking
responsibility of the duties for confrontations with
the terrorists were discussed.
The Person who Buried Kurds by Bulldozer was
Arrested
Garmian Police Forces arrested (Mohamed Majhul
Hassun), 60 years, who participated in the burial of
Kurdish Peshmerga and civilians during the reign of
ousted regime.
“During our raids in Tunera village on July the
15th, after collecting information we arrested a
wanted person of the former regime whose name is
(Mohamed Majhul Hassun),60 years, and he is from
Tunera village”, a source from Garmian police forces
said on Wednesday, July the 18th.
“During questioning ,he admitted that during the
reign of Baath regime he was a bulldozer driver and
buried several Kurdish Peshmerga bodies who were
executed by the former Iraqi regime during
suppressing the 1991 Kurdish uprising in Khaneqin
town”, the source said. Also in his admissions, the
arrested person said that he was a very loyal person
to the former Baath regime of Iraq and that he
served the Baath regime for 30 years and as a result
of his loyalty ,as he said ,he was granted “bravery
medal” several times.
Iranian Forces Conduct a Military Maneuver Near
Sairanban Border Gate
The Islamic republic of Iran deployed a number of
its forces into the borders of Kurdistan Region near
to the Sairanban Border Gate of Penjwen District and
conducted a military maneuver.
Nearly 8-10 vehicles of the Iranian military forces
near to the Sairanban Border Gate fired several
shillings and rocket launchers into the air, causing
a big fear and anxiety for the local citizens, a
source from Border Guards in Penjwen District said
on July the 18th.
Although the maneuver was near to the Kurdistan
Region border areas, but fortunately there were no
casualties, the same source said as well.
The Committee of Article 140 will open an Office
in Erbil
For accelerating Article 140 and normalization of
Kirkuk and other Kurdistani cities and to choose a
head for the Article 140 committee, Narmin Osman
told Kurdistani Nwe that so far nobody in the
government asked her to become the head of the
committee but because the committee doesn’t have a
chairman, she is doing the daily works for the
committee as a deputy.
Concerning the plan for returning back the other
Kurdistani cities to Kurdistan Region she said that
they sent a letter to the Iraqi Prime Minister for
caring out their works as soon as possible. She also
said that this is the third time that they ask the
Minister of Planning to start their works about the
Article 140 and the normalization Kirkuk situations.
As for the problems of the displaced people for
returning to their homes the deputy of the head of
Article 140 committee said that they will open an
office for the committee in Erbil to carry out the
people's works.
Neglecting Kurdistan region in the new Oil draft
The latest Oil draft reached Iraqi parliament, the
basic points are changed totally and Kurdistan
region was totally neglected. The head of the oil
and gas committee explained to Kurdistani Nwe that
in July 15 the last draft oil extract arrived Iraqi
parliament but it is changed completely that can not
be modified and also Kurdisrtan region was neglected
thats why an agreement on this issue will be
difficult to reach.
Dr. Ali Delu said that in the new oil draft
Kurdistan alliance's requests should have been
considered in July 5 when the oil draft extract was
changed in only 10 points they could changed it then
but now every thing has become difficult. He also
said that they immediately informed Deputy Prime
Minister Dr. Barham Ahmad Salih, he announced to us:
till the last agreement between KRG and Fedralic
government will be finished, the oil draft should
not be on the Iraqi parliament agenda. Kurdistani
Nwe knows that Kurdistan alliance list directed a
letter to Iraqi parliament presidency that there
should not be any decision about oil draft without
Kurdistan alliance list's consent.
