Duhok, Kurdistan region (Iraq), (ekurd.net),
-- According to Hawlati website, the Kurdish
security service known as (Asaysh) in Duhok city has
banned the distribution of the weekly on Monday, the
reason behind this action was that Hawlati, the
Kurdish website posted the names of 29 suspected
criminals, known as Mustashar, from the Kurdish
province of Duhok. According to Hawlati the total list
to be published by
Hawlati contains over 329 suspected Kurdish
criminals.
The list was submitted to the Nawendi Halaja CHAK by
the Duhok population in order to be exposed to
Kurdish and international community. The list was
posted online by the Kurdish newspaper Hawlati
earlier this month.
Mustashars were Kurdish tribe leaders who worked on
behalf of the Iraqi government in the Anfal genocide
campaign and persecution of Kurds under the former
government.
CHAK is an international Kurdish pressure guru
pursue justices for the victims of Kurdish genocide
and mass killings under the former government of
Saddam Hussein.
To Kurdish surprise, recently the head of the
Kurdistan Parliament stated that the Kurdish
authorities has nothing to do with these suspected
criminals. A high number of suspected criminals are
influential and high ranking in the Kurdish
authorities and a number of them are members in the
Kurdistan Parliament.
