Iraqi Kurdistan economic delegation arrives in Iran

Azarbaijan prov, -- An economic delegation from
autonomous Kurdistan region (northern Iraq) arrived
the province on Sunday and was warmly welcomed by
local officials.
Deputy Commerce Minister for Iraqi Kurdistan
autonomous region Aziz Abdel Ibrahim, heading the
high-ranking delegation, held talks with governor of
Piranshahr in West Azarbaijan province.
At the meeting, the two sides underlined the need to
expand trade, economic and cultural exchanges given
the cultural and historical commonalties.
Ibrahim said that the delegation is visiting the
Islamic Republic of Iran to participate in the
international exhibition and seminar on 'the Study
of Strategies to Expand Trade Ties with Iraq'.
The Conference on Expanding Trade Ties with Iraq
will be attended by the governor general of West
Azarbaijan and a number of economic officials in
Orumiyeh, the provincial capital, on Monday.
After holding discussions with officials of the
border city, the Iraqi Kurdish delegation left
Piranshahr to Orumiyeh.
