Four Islamic terrorists convicted for 2005 bomb
attack executed in Kurdistan

Erbil, Kurdistan region (Iraq), -- Four
Islamic terrorists convicted of implementing a bomb
attack were executed on Tuesday in Kurdistan region
capital city of Erbil, a source in the Kurdistan
region’s interior ministry said.
"The execution took place this morning in the Erbil
jail with the attendance of representatives from
ministries of justice, interior, health and
endowment, in addition to the general prosecution in
the Erbil Criminal Court," the source, who asked not
to be named, said.
The four were convicted of planning for implementing
an
attack by a car bomb that
targeted a police training center in June 2005
that killed 20 policemen and wounded 100.
“The bodies were sent to the forensic medicine
department in Erbil and then handed over to their
families,” he also said.
