Baghdad, -- Iraqi President Jalal Talabani
condemned the recent bombings in the Iraqi Kurdistan
region cities of Makhmor and Erbil, which killed and
wounded dozens of people, mostly civilians.
"These two crimes prove that the culprits and
whoever stand behind them want to expand the scope
of destabilization, particularly in the secure area
in the country," read a presidential statement
received by VOI on Monday.
Talabani, a Kurd, called in his statement for
"taking the necessary measures to track down and
punish the assailants."
Thirty-two people were killed and 115 others wounded
in a car bomb attack that targeted Iraqi Kurdistan
