Mahabad, Iranian Kurdistan, -- Since
Ahmadinejad came to power, the racist violence
against the Kurdish nation in eastern [Iranian]
Kurdistan has increased. The latest victim of this
racist violence was 25 year old Tahir Minazadeh from
the Kurdish city of Mehabad.
Minazadeh was killed by the Iranian military on
April 4, 2007.
The brutal and massive violence against the Kurdish
people in eastern Kurdistan is not being covered by
the international media, mainly due to the fact that
journalists do not have access to this part of
Kurdistan.
The Islamic republic of Iran has total control over
all aspects of life in eastern Kurdistan through its
massive military presence.
The situation in eastern Kurdistan can be compared
to the situation in North Korea.
Consequently, only a fraction of the massive racist
violence against the Kurdish people is being
documented.
