Sulaimaniyah, Kurdistan region (Iraq), --
Iraqi President Jalal Talabani will return to Iraq
on Wednesday from Amman where he has been undergoing
treatment for exhaustion and dehydration, an
official said.
Talabani, 74, was flown to Jordan on February 25
from his hometown Sulaimaniyah in Kurdistan region
(northern Iraq) after complaining of fatigue.
"President Talabani will return to Sulaimaniyah
tomorrow after recovering," said Azad Jindian, media
officer of Talabani's party, the Patriotic Union of
Kurdistan.
"The president is in good health and will remain in
Sulaimaniyah for a while," he said, adding that an
official reception has been organised in his honour.
Talabani told a group of Iraqi lawmakers who visited
him on Sunday that he had recovered. |
