Gaddafi: My Support is Constant to the Kurdish
Fair Issue
Paris, -- Libyan President, Muammar Gaddafi,
received in his resident near Marini hotel, the
Kurdistani Parties delegation including Barzan
Faraj, the PUK representative in France, Dilshad
Barzani, the representative of Iraqi Kurdistan
Region President, a number of Kurdish parties’
representatives, and Kurdish Political and Social
figures in France.
President Muammar Gaddafi expressed his delight to
the Delegation’s visit asserting his full support to
Kurds rights, saying “ I’m convinced with the
justice and legality of Kurds issue, for this reason
my stance towards them is constant since the
beginning of the Libyan Revolution till now , I did
my best to support them.”
At the end of his speech president Muammar Gaddafi
hoped welfare to the Kurdistan people. The
Delegation carried Kurdistan’s people gratitude and
gratefulness to the Libyan President for his
supporting stands to the Kurdish People.
KRG Delegation to Baghdad will not Discuss the
Oil Contracts Issue
An informed source, announced that according to a
schedule set during a meeting between both Iraq and
Kurdistan Region presidents it is determined that
KRG delegation in Baghdad is going to meet next
week, presidency council, then with ministries and
concerned officials in the Iraqi government to
discuss the un settled issues.
Concerning the implementation of Article 140 from
the constitution, the source said that, UN role in
this issue will be more active; the Kurdish side
expressed its view to the UN representative hinting
the possibility of extending Article 140
implementation period to another 6 months.
About the oil contracts signed by KRG with the
foreign oil companies a close source from the
Delegation said “The Delegation will not discuss the
Contracts signed before approving the Iraqi
Constitution,www.ekurd.net
if there is any
constitutional contradiction, it will be solved by
the Regions Committee, the signed contracts after
the Constitution approval are in accordance with
Region’s oil-gas law and the Iraqi Constitution. The
source did not consider far away reviewing these
contracts if any legal or constitutional gap existed
in, this must only be done by a supreme committee.
About non signing contracts with the big oil
companies, the source ascribed the reason to the
limit area of taking out oil in Kurdistan, doesn’t
accede (250-500) km which is too small for the big
oil companies to invest in.
