have participated in working out this law, and we
were clear that in case of not issuing it in its

Rizgar Ali: In Kirkuk Kurds Occupied %12 to %15
of Employment
The Head of Kirkuk Provincial Council, Rizgar Ali,
stated to PUKmedia “Due to the notorious campaigns
perpetuated in Kirkuk by the former Iraqi deposed
Baath regime including cleansing ethnicity aiming at
changing the demographic condition of Kirkuk city,
the Kurdish people were not allowed to be employed
in governmental sectors.
That is why only %4 of the entire employment ration
was occupied by the Kurds in Kirkuk. This ration was
recorded before 10th April 2003 when the city was
liberated. From that date on, the ration has been
raised and hit %12 to %15. It is currently
documented in hand. However, it’s alleged that it is
higher than what we have in our hand. It can be
showed in document if it is true as we did.”
This statement came after it’s been rumoured that
the employment ration occupied by Kurds in Kirkuk is
higher than expected.
