Iraq's Kurdistan Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani
discussed with former Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad
Allawi recent developments in the Iraqi security
situation.
"Kurdistan's Premier Nechirvan Barzani discussed
with the former Iraqi prime minister and the current
leader of the Wifaq movement, Ayad Allawi, in Erbil
the political situation in Iraq and visions of
future changes in the region, in addition to issues
with regards to the interests of federal Iraq," read
a statement published on the official Web site of
the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).
The statement did not provide further details.
Erbil, the capital of Iraq's Kurdistan region, lies
349 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
