UK, -- The family of a Kurdish man who has
been missing for nearly a month is worried that he
might have been kidnapped.
Haydar Koyuncu, 37, who had lived in Enfield for
only a few weeks, at an address in Cherry Road,
Turkey Street, was last seen on September 4.
He worked at the Superclass Convenience Store, in
Hornsey, where he had been a member of staff for two
years, and was last seen on a regular night shift at
the family business.
The alarm was raised two days later when Mr Koyuncu
failed to return to work after his day off. Attempts
to contact him, including a visit to his home,
proved unsuccessful. |

According to Mr Koyuncu's niece, Hatice Kucuk, one
of his neighbours living in the flat below woke at
3.30am on September 4 for his daily prayers and saw
Mr Koyuncu leaving the flat with two black men.
Ms Kucuk, 25, said: "Since Sept-ember 4 no one has
heard from him.
"We checked the hospitals and police stations and
nothing came out of it. We looked in every possible
place that he could be.
"It's really tense at the moment, and my aunt has
come over from France and everything.
"We are worried he might have been kidnapped, but we
don't know why he would have been."
Enfield Police issued an appeal for information this
week saying Mr Koyunca's family was deeply concerned
and that there had been no further sightings of him
since his disappearance.
Halim Gam, of Haringey's Kurdish Community Centre,
in Finsbury Park, said Mr Koyuncu was never absent
from work and would not be out of contact with his
family for more than two days.
Mr Gam added: "The family are naturally distraught
with worry, and are growing increasingly concerned
that something might have happened to him.
"Mr Koyuncu was a peaceful man who went to work
regularly, kept in contact with his family
regularly, and never harmed anyone."
Anyone with information should ring the Missing
Persons Unit at Enfield Police on 020 8345 1228 or
