Terrorists Attack a PUK’s Organization in Mosul
A private source told our website that a terrorist
group attacked PUK’s Organizations Committee in al-Jazaier
neighborhood in Mosul city, Ninawa Province to the
north of Iraq. ”The attack resulted in wounding one
of the guards”, the source said without any further
details.
500 Housing Units Constructed in Halabja
Last week the construction of 500 housing units in
Halabja entered the phase of execution. On 7.7.2007,
118 pieces of land were distributed among the
families of the martyrs to be used to build those
housing units on them.
This came as the second phase of the project. In
near future, 219 other pieces will be distributed
within the third phase.
Sweden Delays Repatriating Iraqi Kurds
Ahmed Bamerni, Iraq’s ambassador to Sweden in an
exclusive statement told Kurdistani Nwe daily that
“the Swedish government has for long decided to send
Kurdish refugees in its country forcibly, but after
the Regional Governments objection about the
procedure the above-mentioned decision has been
suspended.”
Iraq’s ambassador also said “in our meetings with
the Swedish authorities we conveyed the Government
of Iraq and KRG’s attitude to them. So far no
refugee has been repatriated and the issue is still
under discussion to find convenient solutions.”
High City Hall in Erbil Fire Breakout in
High city Hall, one of biggest halls in Erbil, fired
out today due to electric contact. Firefighters were
able to bring it under
control. The hall was damaged seriously, and no
casualties were recorded.
Korean Zaitoon Team donates Drugs Worth $100,000
to KRG Ministry of Health
On Tuesday, KRG minister of health, and deputy
commander of Korean Zaitoon Team, attended a
ceremony held for donation of an amount of
anti-cholera drugs by the Korean Zaitoon Team. KRG
minister of health expressed his gratitude and
appreciation for the aid by the Korean Zaitoon Team
and hoped those aides to be continued.
The drugs includes 100, 0000 Chlorine pills and
50,000 (IV fluid) bottles of water, estimated to be
worth of $100,000.
KRG coordinator to UN in an Exclusive Statement
to PUKmedia criticizes Iraqi FM
Dr. Dindar Zebari, KRG coordinator to UN, held a
press conference today in Erbil about the
cancellation of his participation in the meetings of
the 62nd round of the UN General Assembly
committees, along with the Iraqi delegation.
Following the press conference, Dr. Dindar Zebari in
an exclusive statement to PUKmedia in English,
Arabic and Kurdish languages criticized the Iraqi
FM, Hoshiyar Zebari, and said that his attitude was
a hindrance, clarifying that the stand of the Iraqi
FM is contrary to what KRG agreed with the Iraqi
Foreign Ministry a year ago.
Turkmen Front Supports the Decision Number 6 of
High Committee of Implementation of Article 140
On Monday, Turkmen Front Supports the decision
Number 6 of high committee of implementation of
article 140 which is related to the land confiscated
by the former Iraqi regime and restoring it to their
owners.
Ali Mahdi, Kirkuk Governorate Council Member from
Turkmen Front bloc said: “Restoring Turkmen land in
Hamzali and Tisaen districts confiscated by Iraqi
regime to their owners is the first decision in its
kind by high committee of implementation of article
140.
“We support creating security in Kirkuk. The city is
belonging to Kurds, Turkmen, Arabs and Assyrians;
any normalization in the city should be bound to
law. We are not against article 140,” he added.
