Sulaimaniyah, Kurdistan region 'Iraq', -- In
a step for implementation of Iraqi permanent
constitution, the Iraqi federal government has
decided to use Kurdish language along with Arabic
language in the Iraqi Service Passports.
A delegation from the KRG is scheduled to visit
Germany soon to put Kurdish language in Iraqi G kind
passports as well.
Colonel Salih Othman, director of Sulaimani Passport
Office, in a phone call with Kurdistani Nwe
Newspaper confirmed the news and clarified that as
the first step, Kurdish language a long with Arabic
has been set in Iraqi service passports, which are
given to people who hold high government posts.
A joint delegation from the Iraqi Foreign Ministry
and Kurdistan region passport office also to visit
Germany, where the Iraqi G passports are been issued
for the purpose of putting Kurdish language in those
passports after all the documents and samples have
been completed.
