Sulaimaniyah, Kurdistan region 'Iraq', --
After along halt in the flights between the German
city of Munich and Sulaimani International Airport
and after Turkey did not let those flights to be
made via its airspace, an official source from Zozik
Airline Company in Germany said that they changed
the direction of their flights and from 8/10 they
will resume their flights directly from Munich to
Sulaimaniyah International Airport via another
airspace.
Turkey last week
decided to prevent
aircrafts of the Kurdish national airline companies
from crossing its airspace. Authorities in Ankara
confirmed also that
permission had not been
given for the flights, stating that the reason was
that in the past, the same flight run by Hamburg
International had been announced as Kurdistan
Airlines in the German airports from which it was
taking off, and that for this reason, the decision
had been made not to grant access to Turkish air
space this time around.
