ATTACK BY 'RACIST' POLICE
January 30, 2007
UK, -- A POLICE officer called a Kurdish
teenager a "dirty Arab" and smashed his head against
a van, a court heard yesterday.
PC David Yates, 27, also told Mohammed Ali, 18, he
was not welcome in Britain, it was alleged.
But Ali, who was already known to police, recorded
parts of the attack on his mobile.
He was arrested after apparently telling Yates to
"f*** off", South wark crown court was told.
In the mobile phone recording, the jury heard Yates
appear to call Ali a "f****** rapist" and a
"robbing, raping a******e".
Yates, who is in the Met Territorial Support Group,
denies charges of racial assault.
The trial continues.
