Iraq: A Mini conference of the Kurdistan
National Union

Iraq, Kurdistan Office, -- Under the slogan (Blniom
toward the renewal of Kurdistan National Union and
its institutions), at 10:20 am on Sunday, January 7
the mini conference (Blniom) for Kurdistan National
Union started with the (Mahchkhhlan) anthem in the
presence of Mr. Jalal Talbani, Secretary General of
the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and 806 members of
the National Union and cabin at the hall of martyr
Shihab Beqasba Qlajoalan.
After a minute of silence in tribute to the souls of
the martyrs Dr. Fouad Massoum read the word of
Preparatory Committee for the Blniom.
Mr. Jalal Talabani began reading the report of the
Secretary-General of Kurdistan National Union.
6-11 members are due to be elected for the
leadership committee, the report of the
Secretary-General of Kurdistan National Union,
contained two main points:
First the international and regional of the Iraqi
and Kurdistan situation, in addition to the
political circumstances of Kurdistan National Union.
The second relates to the future line of action of
Kurdistan National Union and the Kurd case in Iraq.
Members then will nominate themselves from Kurds,
Arabs, Turkmen, Assyrians, Alaezdien of the
leadership, including a number of women.
After the election of new members, the leadership
will meet, where a number of them will nominate
themselves for Kurdistan National union political
office.
